The Problem

This client had concrete steps and entryways into the buildings that needed some type of coating that would be more durable than just some paint as what was on there was failing and in need of removal and replacement. He went on to explain that improving safety is one of the main concerns for wanting to get the steps re-done and was looking for some non-skid characteristics.

The Solution

USI removed the coating with a stand behind diamond grinder. Prep was completed by roughing up the tiles and cleaning out the patch areas that were failing.

We repaired the surfaces that had failed with the USI Epoxy Mortar Patch Kit. The next day the USI Flexible Broadcast Primer was applied, we waited until 8 hours and then applied one coat of USI Moisture Curing Polyurethane Color Coating.

On the third day the second coat of USI Moisture Curing Polyurethane Color Coating was applied by adding White Aluminum Oxide back rolled into the coating.

We had over 30 people come and tell us what a difference we had made at their place of work. We are already in the process of doing another set of stairs in the future.
