Resichem 555 Resinox with Jeff Brown from Buckeye Pipeline

Thank you everyone for joining in on another USI Group #TechTalk. In today’s episode, we chat with Jeff Brown from Buckeye Pipeline, who shares his thoughts on our Resichem 555 Resinox product.
Jeff has worked for Buckeye Pipeline for over 30 years and started doing electrical and has moved to corrosion. He has been using USI Group’s Resichem products for over 15 years and started off with Resinox for mainly touchup work.
They had so many areas in their facilities where they had a project team come in and weld a fitting on a pipe, cleaned off a spot on the pipe to weld, and they needed something to come in to take care of a small-scale project. Their internal pipelines have nothing but spotted repair areas. They wanted to prepare for painting, and they wanted to see how it held up throughout the power washing.
Here are some questions you definitely need to check out the answers to; they are as follows:
- How is the single component “pop-the-top and go” aspect of Resinox as to having to mix up a zinc-rich primer, an epoxy midcoat and a polyurethane topcoat maintenance coating?
- What is the biggest project they have done with the Resinox so far?
- How has Resinox 555 integrated into your workflow to make your maintenance corrosion protection easier for the company?
- For those considering trying it out, what would you suggest?
- What colors does it come in?
- What is the surface prep?
- Can you topcoat it with anything?
