Description

Denso Protal 2800CF Carbon Fiber Moisture-Cured Urethane Pipeline Repair System

Denso Protal 2800CF is an engineered composite repair system for restoring or enhancing the strength of corroded or damaged steel pipe. A high-modulus epoxy filler rebuilds the pipe surface, a moisture-tolerant epoxy forms the corrosion barrier, and a pre-saturated carbon fiber wrap, activated simply by submerging it in water, provides the structural reinforcement. Because the wrap arrives factory-impregnated, there is no field mixing or wet-out of resin for the laminate.

The system is qualified in accordance with ASME PCC-2 Article 4.1 and ISO/TS 24817, and every repair is installed to a Denso Engineered Composite Repair (ECR) design. Surface preparation and installation must be performed by personnel trained and certified by Denso.

Protal 2800CF Uses:

  • External corrosion and pitting
  • Gouges, scratches and dents
  • Weld defects and manufacturing flaws
  • Thinned-wall steel requiring structural reinforcement
  • Straight pipe, elbows, tees, reducers and similar geometries
  • Dry, damp or sweating surfaces
