Tunnel Refurbishment

Tunnel Refurbishment

The Problem

This tunnel carries cables to a large supermarket.  It was suffering problems with water ingress and high humidity.

The high levels of humidity within the tunnel itself were affecting the cables and causing major problems within the supermarket itself.

The owners of the supermarket decided that complete refurbishment of the tunnel floor and walls was required to overcome the problem.

The Substrate

Concrete

The Solution

Tunnel Refurbishment: The badly affected areas were treated with Resichem 573 Fastfill Screed Concrete Seal.  This was where water penetration was occurring.

All joints were primed and filled with  RESICHEM 571 Concrete Repair LW. In total, almost 750 feet of tunnel length were treated, and the application has been a complete success.
